Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle hands-on method of releasing restrictions around the brain and spinal cord so that your body can self-correct, free itself of pain and restore health. CST uses very light pressure, primarily at the head and base of the spine, to detect restrictions and restore balance to the craniosacral system.

Kate has studied Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute since 2000 and Visionary Craniosacral Work with the Milne Institute since 2004. She integrates both physical and energetic forms of craniosacral work for the most beneficial healing experience. CST can bolster overall health and alleviate a wide range of medical conditions such as:

  • chronic neck and back pain
  • migraine headaches
  • post-concussion syndrome
  • learning disabilities
  • stress and anxiety
  • post-traumatic stress disorder
  • traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries
  • other disabilities that have not responded to conventional medicine

Kate has been treating traumatic brain injured patients at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston since 2000 at the request of the patient's family members.  Combining CranioSacral Therapy, Therapeutic Massage and Myofascial Release, she tailors each treatment to the patient's needs.

"I enjoy this work tremendously!  It is some of the hardest work I do, but also the most rewarding.  To be part of someone's healing process as they go from an unresponsive state to a walking, talking, functioning human being is like being part of a miracle." - Kate Peck
